An Out-of-Body Experience: A Painless but Life-Altering Shift That Can Transform Your Perspective
Getting to that level of thought where the soul resides is an out-of-body experience, as weird as it may sound. There is a different reality that you have to try to understand. For starters, try to look at it from this perspective. You aren’t an amalgamation of labels and identities, be it familial, societal or self-imposed. Looking at a spiritual transition, the only identity that a person has is that of a soul; singular, unbending and always permanent. All these changes do in fact happen gradually, and this is what one needs to acknowledge first.
The Spheres of Social Networking
When looking at how an individual might evolve from an out-of-body view to societal and familial views, it is crucial to understand the different roles a human plays in their life. Here is how the understanding looks like:
Body Consciousness:
The emphasis is predominantly placed on how someone appears in public. Additionally, an individual might even try to grapple certain physical achievements.
Effects: Stressing over getting old, suffocating fear due to always being insecure or an over shedding of egos.
Relationship Consciousness:
Humans have a tendency to get attached to loved ones in a different light, whether that be with parents, siblings or even life partners.
Cause: Emotional Disconnection with societal beliefs and standards.
Role / Position Consciousness:
The main identification gets associated with professional accomplishments.
Cause: The need to be wanted, in all aspects of life.
Soul Consciousness:
Evolving one stage at a time where you evolve yourself into an individual who believes that all their worldly and earthly attachments dissipate.
The Steps You Need To Take:
Step 1: Self-awareness and understanding, the need to break the limiting ideas of your external self.
I’d appreciate to shed some light on how largely has the consciousness of your body, your relationships or your roles caused pain or caused conflicts.
It is important to note that these identities are fleeting while the spirit is infinite.
Practice:
You may consider journaling or meditating on the issues of:
To what degree do I consider my beauty, my functions or relations as the source of my fulfillment?
What are those aspects of me which are not altered by these identities?
Example:
One’s perspective on aging changes when they understand that beauty is just skin deep and fleeting when compared to a soul which is ever present.
Step 2: Do the opposite, start learning.
Objective: Get a new understanding of the world with regards to soul.
Take up literature that talks more about the aspects of the soul.
Bhagavad Gita: “This body that you see before you is not you, inside, you are the eternal soul.”
Upanishads: “Soma is never born and never dies.”
Start imagining some metaphors:
If a body is a vehicle, then the soul is a driver.
Practice:
Make it your daily routine to read or listen to spiritual teachings.
Make statements such as:
“I am the soul that is peace and light and will remain so forever.”
“Although I may have a body with relationships and various roles to play, they are of no permanency and can be transcended.”
Step 3: Meditate the soul.
Objective: Within the self through meditation experience the self.
Visualization: Get into a comfortable position that suits you best and close your eyes. Focus all your attention on the center of your forehead. This point is your soul, a center of love and peace. Let it radiate.
Affirm:
“My body is not who I am. I am a soul full of peace.”
“People may change, things may change, but I am the witness who never fades.”
Practice:
Make it a routine to spend around 15-20 minutes in this meditation stage every day. Increase the length progressively over time by meditating on the features of the soul one at a time. For example, love, peace, wise, powered, purity, bliss and so on.
Example:
During the guided meditation, see yourself as a stream of light, a light that is separate from all materialistic concepts and the various roles that you perform in this world. Feel boundless peace and freedom.
Step 4: Detach from Body Consciousness
Objective: Understand that the body is not who you are and merely a tool for you to use.
The body should be seen as a tool rather than a treasure.
Instead of focusing on the looks of someone’s body, think of the soul that dwells within and what its purpose is.
Practice:
While applying self-care products, say: “My soul’s journey does not allow me to compromise on my physical aspect as well.”
Only be concerned with how other people perceive you, not with how you view yourself.
Example:
In the intermediate phase of a workout plan, tell yourself: “This allows my soul to achieve its goals.”
Step 5: Now Speak to People Through Your Soul – Not The Body.
Objective: Swap out a proffer with pure love and respect rather than crushing them.
In this world, people are just actors in your life stories that you always direct.
In relationships expect less and give more.
Practice:
In communication, remember silently:
“I am a spirit meeting a spirit.”
“Everything in this Relation is an experience, not who I am.”
Forgiving and compassionate embracing the idea that each one of us is moving forward in a journey of evolution on the level of the soul.
Example:
When you are upset because of someone dear, consider, “He is a spirit and is progressing through his life as I am, all I need to do is to love him, hate the attachment…”
Step 6: Take on Roles but Don’t Get Attached to Them
Prerequisites: Go with the flow, but still be able to complete tasks while looking through the predefined goals.
Understand that every role is a set of limitations assigned as a figure of speech by existence to yourself.
Do what you need to do in good faith, and worry not about the consequences.
Practice:
Before work: I am one of those souls that will play the role to his optimum potential’.
Now when the day is over, one should think to himself:
“I did my part in fulfilling the order, and now I return back to the case”
Example:
Think of yourself as a manager of people. Be honest and self conscious to help your team members without having to take the pressure of success on your shoulders.
Step 7: Be in a Break up State
Purpose: Get rid off the mental connect with the mind, the self and the body.
Detachment is not isolation. It’s not being attached to something to the point that it starts to own you.
Practice:
Daily reflection:
“If I lose this body, relationship or a role, would I still as a soul feel complete? ”
As such do not try to cling to current roles but appreciate them.
Example:
A parent enjoys the presence of the child but doesn’t limit their identity only to parenthood.
Step 8: Selfless service
Objective: See yourself as a soul serving another soul.
Be selfless in giving without the desire to gain recognition or praise.
Practice:
Seek a volunteering cause of your interest.
In your everyday life, slighlty will yourselves, by saying ‘may you be blessed with sachchidhaanand’.
Example:
You can help a collegue with no expectation of thanks but rather with the eyes that see the childs’ soul.
Step 9: Do not lack in spiritual practice
Objective: Understand the importance of discipline in order to be entrenched in the ‘I am’ consciousness.
Memorizing prayers, focusing one’s mind through meditation, writing a diary and engaging in effective reading are everything to a person doing spiritual practice.
Practice:
Every morning and i start my day with ‘ i am a soul radiating peace and light’.
Seek benevolence from people in spirituality by joining them in groups or communities.
Step 10: Turn the controls over to the Divine
Objective: Realign with the supreme being and put your faith in the journey of the soul.
Understand that everything that happens and that will happen is a part of the life of the soul.
Give up all attachments and the results to the Divine.
Practice:
Pray or meditate on surrender: “My taking of me is an act of worship to the Creator,” and, thereafter, “it was released into the fullness of His being.”
Reflect: “I am the focus of spiritual forces and, as this, I am accomplishing my task as a reincarnated being.”
Example:
In the course of life’s challenges, say, “This is a sequence of occurrences when my soul gets the nutrients it earned in life. I have complete faith and trust in the Divine Plan.”
Living Soul includes consciousness
Body: You look at it as an instrument, not as center. ,
Relationships: You share affectionate attachments but not parasitic ones.
Roles: You assume the responsibilities with due honesty as well as take a position of neutrality.
Soul: You reside in stillness, brightness and transparency while being in the dominion of all and sundry.
